My uncle made a game for me that he said was called tippy. It was a piece of 1x1 lumber about four feet long, and another 1x1 about 7 inches long which had been whittled to points at each end, and marked with Roman Numerals one thru 4 on it's sides. As I recall, thegame is played by any number of players. The smaller piece of wood is tossed into the air. When it lands on the paved or brick surface(we played in the alley) the number facing up would indicate how many tries or turns the player had to strike the end of the smaller piece, causing it to fly up allowing theplayer to strike it again in Baseball fashion, in order to drive it as far away from home as he could. The next player had to attempt totals it back home in the same manner.
