I'm a female tattoo artist and my day-to-day dress code tends to be leggings/jeggings, black skin-tight t-shirts, and either boots or dolly shoes depending on the weather. The guys I work with tend to wear dark jeans, shirts, t-shirts and hoodies. It's a casual atmosphere really and it's important to wear something you feel happy in and that is appropriate to tattoo in (no loose fabrics, long necklaces, low cut tops, ect.) You have to remember to look professional but not too over-the-top. Wearing darker colours is a bonus in case you manage to spill ink down yourself!
