The blackberry storm does not have a silver chrome in the back of both lengths on the back of the phone and the blackberry storm 2 does have a silver chrome of the back of it on both lengths of it so if that does not answer your question go down to Verizon and ask them what is the difference or call them if you don't know what their phone number is it is star 611.
