The differences are the following:

  • They don't live at the same pole: Polar bears live in the Arctic, whereas Penguins are found in the Antarctica. Many people are led to believe that polar bears are found in Antarctica instead, or at both Arctic and Antarctica, both which are false.
  • Polar bears are mammals, whereas penguins are birds.
  • Polar bears are predators of seals, whereas penguins are prey of seals.
  • Polar bears are solitary creatures except during mating season and when mother polar bears are caring for their cubs: penguins are not, regardless if it's mating season or not.

Polar bears are mammals. They have fur, bear their young alive and feed them on milk. They live in the arctic.

Penguins are birds. They have feathers, lay eggs and live in the Southern Hemisphere.

Polar bears are much bigger than penguins.
