Plush is WAYY softer than fleece. Fleece are often smaller blankets than the plush but are comfortable as well.

Plush will cost you more because the furs on them are much longer and softer and do not show age as much.

Plush is used for more indoor settings often times on beds and couches. Think of fleece blankets as a travel sized plush.
