Some examples of figurative language in "To My Valentine" by Ogden Nash include metaphors (comparing love to a rose), similes (comparing love to the ocean), and personification (deeming love as a living entity that can fly, sing, and dance). These literary devices enhance the poem's emotional impact and help convey the speaker's deep feelings for their valentine.
Family can be love and love can be family. There is no distinct difference between them.
No there is no difference I love you means love & I am in love with you means love only the difference is way of expression.

There is no difference between the phrase loads of love and the phrase lots of love. They both have the meaning to give an enormous amount of love.
The connection between Cupid and Valentine's Day is a modern one. Of course in modern days we know that Cupid was the Roman personification of Romantic Love, and who better to represent the lover's day? It should be noted that prior to Chaucer, Valentine's Day had no particular connection to romantic interests. Additionally, while the Roman festival of Lupercalia, which took place from 13-15 February, was a feast for fertility, it was local only to Rome and had nothing to do with Cupid.
One Drake song that uses personification is "Find Your Love," where he personifies love as a force that can be found and lost.
Simile - it promises light like the careful undressing of love . Simile - it will blind you with tears like a lover . Metaphors , look for them it's easy Personification , look for the its easy
He was the god of love. As Valentine's Day is a holiday about love, it was appropriate.

You can't make anyone love you!! You love yourself and if he loves you it will happen!
Good question. No, I don't think that Valentine's Day cheapens love... but it does commercialize and exploit it. :) There is a difference. I don't think that anything external can touch real love as long as you honor it and treat the object of your affection with respect and care. Valentine's Day can make love seem shallow and fake to external observers... but if you don't treat it that way, it can't do anything to you. It is just a day.
