I think they are basically the same but Freesat needs a satellite dish. This can be better if you live in an area with bad signal (the picture breaks up). Also, Freesat has much more channels but not as much extra stuff that uses the red button. It also lacks the Fiver and Five USA channels at the time of me writing this.
