Font color is the color of the letters. Highlight color is the color of a word or words that also includes the white spaces between the letters.
The fill colour is the same as highlight and the font colour changes the colour of the words.
A fill color fills the background as much as it is told to. Font color changes the color of the font.
In Excel, fill color refers to the background color of a cell, which can be applied to highlight or distinguish it from other cells. Font color, on the other hand, pertains to the color of the text within the cell. Both can be customized independently to enhance the visual presentation of data, but they serve different purposes in formatting.
The fill color fills the entire cell whereas the font color just changes the color of the content of the cell, like the text, numbers of dates that are in the cell.
Go to font color or press f1 to change the color to highlight the text

Highlight the paragraph, then edit the font - usually this is located in the "home" section of Word 07 - also, in the same section, there will be colour (text colour and highlight colour), choose change text colour and it should change for you.
Highlight it and change the font in the font menu.
Font face is all about the choice in font character design while Font sign has to do with the increase or decrease in character size.
