An argument is an attempt to persuade someone to see a better, different perspective, a contradiction are two simple statements that cannot both be agreed upon without being hypocritical. An argument is derived from feelings as opposed to simply having a different point of view. Arguing often allows you to support what you're saying you give reason for what you believe in. You can contradict yourself if you dictate something and then prove yourself against what you said. For example I said, "I don't ever wear black shoes," and then the next day I am wearing black shoes.
On the other hand an argument involves two or more people going back and forth. They are not the same word and have different meanings you couldn't use both of these words in a sentence to describe the same event. I think if you could contradict a person within your argument, but the contradiction is not the essence of the argument. Additionally, people could agree on certain aspects thereof, which would still qualify it as an argument despite the absence of contradiction.
A dialogue is just people talking. An argument is people disagreeing and trying to get the other people to agree with them. People usually use the term dialogue to mean a more friendly or civilized discussion, and argument to mean an angry and heated one.
The goal of persuasion is to incite action, whereas the goal of argument is to discover truth through reasoning.
Valid means that the argument leads to a true conclusion, given that its premises are true, but if an argument is valid that does not necessarily mean the conclusion is correct, as its premises may be wrong. A sound argument, on the other hand, in addition to being valid all of its premises are true and hence its conclusion is also true.
my whole hood thuggin big ole shape in public
Things that are opposite to each other are contradictions. Example: evolution is a contradiction to creationism.
An invalid argument is when the facts you are using are invalid or your forms of defense are wrong or incorrect, a valid argument is the opposite of an invalid argument. "There is a windmill in my beard. your argument is invalid." (This is a good example of a bad contradiction)
PRINCIPAL ARGUMENT = ARGUMENT + 2nPI arg(Z) = Arg (Z) + 2nPI
an argument is a disagreement between two people while an option is a preffered choice or point of view.
A claim is putting forth the right to something. If that claim is not settled then it might result in an argument.
An explanation provides information, while an argument uses evidence to support a claim.
This is an exmple of an oxymoron, where the adjective friendly contrasts with the noun argument, which is apparently a contradiction.
Explain the apparent contradiction between limited resources and unlimited wants.
A valid deductive argument will have a valid premise and conclusion and a fallacy may be true, it all matters on how you came to the conclusion.
The difference between a reflex and a voluntary muscle is simply that a reflex is autonomic response to a stimulus thus making it involuntary. This in direct contradiction to a voluntary muscle movement with is done by making the conscious decision to do so.
TrueIt is true that the body of an indirect proof you must show that the assumption leads to a contradiction. In math a proof is a deductive argument for a mathematical statement.
