THE older alluvium of the north indian plain is known as bhangar and the younger alluvium is known as khadar
Bhangar soil is less fertile than khadar because it is older and lacks the rejuvenating alluvial deposits that khadar soil receives annually from flooding rivers. This makes khadar soil more nutrient-rich and suitable for agriculture. Additionally, bhangar soil tends to be more compacted and alkaline, further reducing its fertility compared to the more fertile and well-drained khadar soil.
khadar is newer alluvium found close to river created by the new alluviums deposited by the river, these lands are known as khadar. bangar is older alluvilium, found away from the rivers. the khadar is comparatively sticky and dark in colour, while the bangar is sandy and light in colour.
The population of Salarpur Khadar is 10,772.
The population of Bhangar Raghunathpur is 5,009.
Bhangar Mahavidyalaya was created in 1996.
