The main difference is form. Beowulf is a lyric poem, a long story, which exists mainly in one format, an Old English transcription of a previous orally passed-down story, and some translations of that text. There have been attempts to make dramatised versions of this story, but they are all basically the same story.

Batman however is more than just one story and also exists in many different formats. Starting first as a comic strip in America (originally The Bat Man) in 1939, the comic strip has produced thousands of stories. There was a series of cartoon adventures made for the cinema, two live action television series, and several feature films featuring the character.
