How much do you get paid in the military?

It all depends on your rank. Enlisted get paid far less than officers. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Well the above answer is right. But there are many ranks in the military. Each one has a different pay grade and as you stay in the military your pay goes up because likely it is that you have more experience. Once you have been the military for four years as an enlisted man you can take the test for becoming an officer. Once you are an officer you will get paid more than an enlisted because you have four years of service already as an enlisted member. If you choose to go to college and take ROTC classes and you pass the test in college you will be commissioned as a Second Lieutenant. Then you will get paid more than enlisted but not as much as you would if you had four years as an enlisted. So it all depends on the amount of experience that you have-- and your rank.

Do you need a degree to become a military police officer?

Hard to clarify if a "Military Police Officer" refers to an Enlisted MP or an MP, who is also an officer (as in a Lieutenant (or higher). In short, just to be an Enlisted Military Police. You need to complete Basic Training, and the MP Job Training that the military provides; however, you do NOTneed a college degree. To be an Officer (Lieutenant +) in the military, who is an MP, you would need to complete the officer's academy.

Is it mandatory for an enlisted member to salute a senior enlisted members?

Normally, a salute is given to a senior ranking person who holds a commissioned status, meaning they are an officer, not a non-commissioned officer or petty officer. If military enlisted members go around saluting each other all the time, it would be a little strange, it is not a normal practice or custom.
