There is no difference between an AR rifle and an AR rifle
The M4 is capable of automatic fire, the AR 15 is not
When Armalite first developed the rifle, they gave it the nomenclature of AR-15. When they sold the rights to Colt, Colt continued using the AR-15 name, and applied it to all variants of the rifle (usually accompanied by a model number). M16 is a military nomenclature - the rifles are still AR-15 rifles, but built to certain specifications, as required by military and law enforcement customers.
The AR-15 uses a direct impingement operating system, whereas the Mini 14 uses a gas piston system based on the M14 rifle.
Armalite rifle. Don’t listen to that idiot who said autolite rifle
A sporter air rifle and what?
About .05, obviously.
AR-15 = Semi-Auto civilian rifle M4 = Select Fire Military rifle
There is no difference.
A carbine is a type of rifle.
The Colt AR-15 is a sporter rifle
Nothing
The nature of this question makes it difficult to determine what you are asking, so I'm going to throw a few answers at you to hopefully answer it. AR in the firearms world is the initialism of ArmaLite, the company that employed the inventor of the AR-15 design, Eugene Stoner. Technically one could call any firearm built by the Armalite company an AR. However, the AR-15 and its derivatives are extremely common firearms and the design has been copied by many companies. Rifles built in the pattern of the AR-15 (and the earlier AR-10) are often referred to as "AR's" as a catchall term for that design family.
