One such religion is Wicca, where followers cast spells that connect them to nature, the goddess and the god. Warlocks in lore and movies tend to be evil and harmful, and wizards more helpful and elemental. You just have to remember that while Magyk is very real indeed, there is a lot of untrue static so you must dig deeper to find truths.
