Well, cruisers are designed for long-distance rides. They offer comparable comfort, and they are equipped with all sorts of features that one needs during long rides. They are costly as well. Cruisers are further divided into two sub-categories i.e. Baggers and Bobbers. Both have different but unique features.

On the other hand, standard motorcycles are ideal for daily routine rides. They are fuel-efficient and are affordable.

A standard motorcycle tends to be a motorcycle without flashy chrome and minus fairings etc.

You could call it a bare bones motorcycle.

Also, whereas on a cruiser you have a seating position that is straight backed but feet forward, on a standard bike you are sitting straight backed (and sometimes leaning slightly forward) with your feet directly beneath your hips.

Cruisers are bit more comfy and easy to ride for long term tours while standard motorcycles have broad type of features plus they have neutral, upright rider position and medium position as well.
