social networks are safer so called online predators mainly have been known to go to chat rooms rather than social networks chat rooms are more open with a social network you choose what info you share and you have the choice aswell to make your profile private if you are under 16 you can hide your age bebo have this policy where in a chat room your details are visible even age etc i would sooner go to a social network than a chat room you dont know who is lurking in chat rooms
