What is the difference between a CV270 gas cartridge and a CV470 gas cartridge?

A 270 contains 230g of gas, while a 470 contains 450g. The 470 is the same diameter, but about twice as tall. The fitting at the top is the same, so either will connect the gas supply to the gas-using device, but some devices have clamps or other such fittings to hold the cartridge. These may be too long for a 270 or alternatively, too short for a 470.
