Unfortunately, there's no such word as superintendant, so I couldn't not describe it to you. But a superintendent is like a supervisor, someone higher than a normal person.

A definition from dictionaryreference would be : " a person who oversees or directs some work, enterprise, establishment, organization, district, etc.; supervisor."
