SAE 10W could be using in larger of range temperature, so SAE with W character also means suitable for winter season as well as tropical season or ambient temperature.
this SAE 10W also means multi grade oil.
thanks
The recommended oil is SAE 10w 40. If the bike is use in under-10 degrees go to 5w 30 oil.
The 10W stands for 10 winter. The oil is a 10 weight oil at cold temperatures and becomes a 30 weight oil when it is at full operating temperatures. This way it is a mult-vicrosity oil and can be used in the winter and in the summer.
Suzuki recommends the use of SUKUZI PERFORMANCE 4 MOTOR OIL, or an oil which is rated SF or SG under the API classification system. The viscosity should be SAE 10w-40 if a 10w-40 isn't avalible 10w-30, 10w-50, 15w40, 15w-50, 20w-50 can be used depending on the temprature. I would stick to 10/15w 40/50 to be safe.
SAE 30 motor oil if the temperature is between 30 & 75°F.Colder use SAE 10 oil.Warmer use SAE 40 oil.
it depends. non-turbo = SAE 5W-30 for ambient temp ranges minus 20 to 100 F. turbo = SAE 5W-30 for ambient temp ranges minus 20 to 60 F SAE 10W-30 for ambient temp ranges minus 10 to 120 F SAE 20W-40 for ambient temp ranges minus 32 to 120 F
From the Import Service Manual - 1987 Ram Raider: 2.6L 4cyl engine Total oil capacity: 5 liters (5 1/2 quarts) 32 -120 °F SAE 20W- 20 40 50 -10 - 120 °F SAE 10W- 30 40 50 -20 - 60 °F SAE 5W- *20 30 40 *SAE 5W-20 Not recommended for sustained high speed vehicle operation.
The difference is 10
Nothing at all except the name on the bottle and the high price you pay for the so-called motorcycle oil. I do recommend you use synthetic in any air cooled engine.
The W stands for Winter. The 5w30 flows easier at lower temperatures. It is a 5 weight oil at low temperatures where the 10w40 is a 10 weight at low temperatures.
SAE 30 as standard. SAE 10 for cold weather.
Most modern cars built in the last 10 years require SAE 5w20. But some do require other weights. Refer to your owners manual for the correct weight for your engine. Do not use anything else.
the difference is also doubled
