To convert an FLV file to a JAR or JAD file for mobile video, you first need to encode the FLV into a compatible video format, such as 3GP or MP4, using a video conversion tool like HandBrake or VLC Media Player. After that, you can use a tool like JAR Maker to package the video file into a JAR format, creating the corresponding JAD file for mobile compatibility. Ensure that the video dimensions and bitrate are suitable for the target mobile device. Finally, transfer the JAR and JAD files to your mobile device for playback.

To install a JAD file on a Sony Ericsson E2230M, first, ensure that you have the JAR and JAD files on your device. You can transfer these files via USB or Bluetooth. Then, navigate to the JAD file using the phone's file manager and select it to begin the installation process. Follow any on-screen prompts to complete the installation.
it just depends because i have a Motorola i580 with nextel and i have to use .jad files but i know phones like nokias and razrs use .jar files but the .jar files work alot better but there is a converter if u need one or the other i think its called JAR TO JAD so that would work if u needed a converter
you have to convert the .jar files to .jad from your computer. jadmaker for windows is good. personally i use jar2jadd on my LG Rumor touch but jadmaker works just as well. after that you put both the .jar and jad files into the APPS folder on your micro SD card. after that go to My Stuff on the phone, go all the way to the bottom and there should be a folder named Apps. go to it and install the files.
