Both measuring techniques are the same as far as size in inches. The Pope and Young club scores bow killed animals. Minimum score for a typical whitetail is 125 net inches (to make the book). The Boone and Crocket scoring system has a minimum typical score of 170 net inches (to make the book) for whitetails and any legal hunting weapon can be used including the bow. Non-typical scores are slightly higher. Of course, other animals are included in the club as well. This is only an example and very brief.
