I am also 5'3 and weigh 125-128 (in my 50's though) so I know how you feel. We are not that overweight, even though we don't like what we weigh. Try drinking a big glass of water before meals, limiting portions and high caloric foods and not eating after 6 pm. Don't get into binge/purge lifestyle (by that I don't mean the extremes of bulimia). I mean don't deprive yourself of things you love completely because you will set yourself up to binge on them, then feel guilty, vicious cycle. You should always check with your doctor before going on any diet; they might check your thyroid to see if that's a problem.I'm not a doctor, but I would recommend going to a nutrionist and get a diet from them. You are still growing (taller) and now is not the time for any wierd or crash diets. I just watched a show the other night where a girl did this; she was given a diet of 5 meals a day and monitored weekly - kind of a therapy as well. You could also try OA - Overeaters Anonymous.
