John Browning made his first gun at the age of 10, but his first patent was in 1878, it was the 1878 Single Shot Rifle.
Browning did not manufacture the gun. The gun was made by Stevens, using a Browning patent. Value is minimal, below $200.
They were made in the 1930s and there is no serial list by year. These are NOT Brownings but were made for the SEARS store by various makers, but not the Browning Arms Co. It was built on Brownings patent and made by Stevens.
