Winchester manufactured the Model 77 between 1955 and 1963. Approximately 217,000 were made. Given the 8 year span of production and your serial number, I would say your gun was made around 1959-1960. All 77's were chambered for 22 long rifle. The rest has already been answered. i too own a model 77. according to someone i spoke with at winchester, these rifles were made from about the early to mid 1950's thru mid 1960's. some were clip feed and some (like mine) were tube magazine fed. The tube feed magazine fed only represented only 10% of production and the value is much more. If your lucky you can find one with an original Weaver tip off scope. I purchased a model 77 at an auction that was is perfect condition, tube fed, with tip off scope for $400, a lot for a 22 but its a great, accurate shooter.
