Maybe I can narrow down the date of birth a bit- the 235 was made from 1912-1915, ALL shotgun making stopped 1916, resumed 1920, and the model 235 ended production in 1932. The "Arms & Tools" name was not used after 1915, so if your gun is marked as "Stevens Arms &Tools", that would put it in the 1912-1915 time period. You may also contact Stevens thru their website to see if they can offer any more precise date.
Just another model in the Stevens line.
50-200 USD. Trade name used by J Stevens on their Model 311
30-40 years.
I actually have one. Do you want to buy it? I'm at whatdrivesyou at ho t . mail dougt calm. Normal guy, live in Canada though.
I can't find production dates for a model 357, but if it is marked J Stevens Arms Co (NOT J. Stevens and Co or J. Stevens Arms & Tool Co), the gun was made no earlier than 1920 and before 1950.
The Stevens model 311 was discontinued in the year 1989.You would have to contact Savage/Stevens to get the actual age of your double barrel shotgun.
The letter A after the number 530 has no significant meaning at all.It was just used to help identify this double barrel model shotgun that was made by Stevens.
The best that I can do is state that the Stevens model 311 side by side was discontinued in the year 1989.

It s a Stevens model 311D double barrel shotgun serial number A226687 16 gauge. everything is on the side of the shotgun.
A fully functional Stevens double should bring between $100 and $250, depending on the condition.
