In the lipid profile (test to count your blood fats), the normal LDL cholesterol level should be less than 100 mg/dl.

If it is higher than 190 mg/dl, they are considered very high and the risk for Heart disease is very high too.

If it is 160 till 189 mg/dl, it is considered high and the risk for heart disease is considered high too.

If you find the levels 130 till 159 mg/dl, they are considered borderline high, and you have high risk for any heart events.

Levels 100 till 129 mg/dl, are considered near optimal, although the risk for heart disease is borderline high.
