A positive energy balance is when you're taking in the correct amount of calories according to your age, height and gender and expending the appropriate number of calories. A negative balance is when you're not.

I know which school you're from, I had to do this as an assignment too...

### What does Pearson's linear correlation coefficient measure?

Strength and direction of linear relation. Closer to 1 is positive linear association, closer to -1 is positive negative association and closer to 0 means no linear relation. Remember that 0 does not mean that there is no relation - just no linear relation.

### How do you get negative voltage from transformer?

The term, 'negative voltage', refers to its direction and has nothing to do with 'negative' in the 'charge' sense. It's used to indicate the direction in which a voltage is acting in relation to another voltage ('positive' if acting in the samedirection; 'negative' if acting in the opposite direction). So your question is confusing: 'negative' in relation to what?

### How Does R Help You Numerically Describe The Strength And Direction?

R, the correlation coefficient is a statistical measure which ranges between -1 and 1. There are no hard and fast rules about the strength but, as professional statistician, I used 0.25 and 0.75 as thresholds.-1 < R < -0.75 : strong negative relation-0.75 < R < -0.25 : moderate negative relation-0.25 < R < 0.25 : small; negative or positive as indicated by sign of R0.25 < R < 0.75 : moderate positive relation0.75 < R < 1 : strong positive relation.

### DC voltage has no polarity?

A DC voltage must have a polarity, however this polarity is always in reference to some common point and has no meaning on its own, the same with voltage. Usually this common point is the circuit ground, which may or may not be earth ground. Example: A household AA battery has a positive and a negative terminal, the positive terminal is +1.5v in relation to the negative terminal, and the negative terminal is -1.5v to the positive terminal.

### Is there a relationship between the sign of the slope of a line and the angle the line makes with the x-axis?

Yes, there a relationship between the sign (positive or negative) of the slope of a line and the angle the line makes with the x-axisWhen a line slopes up from left to right, it has a positive slope. This means that a positive change in y is associated with a positive change in x. The steeper the slope the greater the rate of change in y in relation to the change in x.When a line slopes down from left to right, it has a negative slope. This means that a negative change in y is associated with a positive change in x.
