What is t9?

T-9 is a text system used for phones where it tries to predict what word you are attempting to type.

For instance if you wanted to spell flower, you would push the keys on your phone that have each of the appropriate letters (356937 in this case) and the phone would attempt to predict which word you wanted to spell. However if there is another word that can be made with that combination of numbers (because each key has up to 4 letters assigned to it) that word may be displayed, however there is a button (usually 0) that allows you to scroll through all the available combinations.

T9 is a setting for texting for phones. So when you start texting it will start to bring up words that start with the letters your pushing. It is supposed to make texting easier.
