T-9 is a text system used for phones where it tries to predict what word you are attempting to type.
For instance if you wanted to spell flower, you would push the keys on your phone that have each of the appropriate letters (356937 in this case) and the phone would attempt to predict which word you wanted to spell. However if there is another word that can be made with that combination of numbers (because each key has up to 4 letters assigned to it) that word may be displayed, however there is a button (usually 0) that allows you to scroll through all the available combinations.

Yes you can. When you start a message you will click the aA button until you see a thing at the top that has T9 Abc.. It should be at the right hand corner of your text messaging screen.
Go to Menu, Messages, scroll down to Msg Settings, Entry Mode, and choose T9 word.
well t9 is a quick way for typing you basically type the first button of a word. u haft to get the hang of it like for hey you do 4-3-9 and whats up you do 9-4-2-8-7- ..space..8-9. its pretty simple just do what ever the first letter of the word is type that 3 only once then the second 1 and so on.
In T9 setting, to say "I love you" you would type: 4-6-8-3-5-6-8-56-88-3-6-8-6.
Yes, the T9 will work fine with HPA.
