a buss/bust down is when one person, usually the person who purchased the ciggarette (or bussER, if you will) smokes the ciggarette half way and then Joe Smoker (aka the bussEE) comes along and asks for a buss down....

now giving someone an Ace is giving them the last little tip of the ciggarette to smoke. maybe 4 or 5 pulls worth....

so you may here someone in the hood say "yo let me get a bust?"....and then you may hear them say...."nah yo, that's not a buss...that's a Ace!"..( or Ace me on dat?)

You can also ask to bum a fag/cig if you simply want a smoke.
