.40 is the more powerful
----------
I would have to beg to differ on that one. The highest energy .40 S&W round produces 500 ft/lb... that's the 155 grain Guardian Gold @ 1205 fps. The 200 grain Speer Gold Dot in .45 ACP produces 518 ft/lbs, while the 185 grain bonded defense produces 616 ft/lbs. So sure, there are some .40 loads which produce more energy than some .45 ACP loads, but overall? No.
45 is more powerfull. larger bullet, more powder = s more knock down power.I own both calibers. It's obvious just by shooting each gun.
85-40 = 45 and 45+45 = 90
A 44 magnum is more powerful than a 45calibur
45. Leaves a bigger hole
45 of 40 = 45*40 = 180045 of 40 = 45*40 = 180045 of 40 = 45*40 = 180045 of 40 = 45*40 = 1800
.357 magnum Actually, a more correct answer is, MOST 357 is more powerful and MOST 45, but there are a couple of exceptions, if you are talking about muzzle energy.
It depends on the load
yes
No more or less 'powerful' than any other pistol firing the .45 ACP cartridge.
.40 CAL HAS MORE VELOCITY AND ENERGY AT IMPACT
40% of 45= 40% * 45= 0.4 * 45= 18
45 of 40 = 1800
