No. It is a synthetic fabric, brushed microfiber Polyester. Nice look, have two ivy caps made of this material and they are machine washable. About half the price of suede caps.
It is often called faux leather. This is not strictly true. There are many names for fake suede including Alcantara, Buffalo, Micro suede, and amny more. Each country has their own variation.
Sorry to say, but I've only been able to find them at Walmart.com and Pottery Barn Teens.
try using dry cleaning solvent tht you get from furniture stores like rooms to go. it is made especially for micro suede. There are spray cleaners and water conditioners that can be found on the internet at various prices. Usually Suede Cleaners will also say that it can be used on Polyesters such as Faux Suede which is a brushed microfiber polyester. A problem with Faux Suede furniture, the owner often assumes the furniture is water protected and it usually is, but it don't last forever, especially after a cleaning. Like Suede. polyester microfiber can absorb body sweat and oils that show up in the lighter colors as stains. Google Cleaners and water protectors for Leather, Suede, and Synthetics and you will be overwelmed with products, I recommend brand names with a reputation, check reviews with caution.
Try Goof Off, but if it's been on over a week, I doubt anything will remove it.

The word "suede" has one syllable.
It is not recommended to clean suede with alcohol. Alcohol can damage the delicate fibers of suede and cause it to dry out and become discolored. It is best to use a suede brush or professional suede cleaner for maintenance.
