Spread of for example bacteria trough the bloodstream to the rest of the body after infection of tissues. This spread also involves the lymphnodes where bacteria are trapped and presented to B- and T-cells. When presentation has not led to phagocytosis of the organisms the bacteria may be transported back from the lymphnodes into the bloodstream.
