Fire is actually a very rapid oxidation process with three products: Heat, Light (the 'fire'), and gases (smoke). Therefor it's not really 'made' of anything...all you're seeing is the light product of the chemical reaction.

Hope this helps,

Fire is a chemical reaction that occurs between a fuel source, such as wood or gas, and oxygen. It releases heat and light energy as it consumes the fuel through a process called combustion. The visible flames that we see are a result of the glowing gases and particles produced during the reaction.
