Stage is the STEP (initial to final) in the whole process of Something.

State is the CONDITION (i.e worse, bad, good, fine etc) of Something.

Status is the POSITION (i.e value, rank, grade) with regard to Something.

For example, A building in its final stages of completion may be in a good state and may posses high status in the Market.
