A stainless revolver is made of a stronger more durable metal capable of resisting stains and corrosion even under the worst conditions. And they can be polished to a high lustre with great ease. They are easily serviced and returned to duty after such exposures that would destroy ordinary firearms. Nickel is a thin plate over raw steel and any loss of coverage of the plating will allow stains and corrosives into the inner metal surfaces. Blued and nickel plated guns will not be so resistant to the ravages of weather and time. Stains and rust are a constant risk to these guns. Stainless steel revolvers are less prone to gas cutting of the top strap and thereby safer. This would be a concern of someone who consistently shoots magnum and other "hot" rounds through his revolver. Or one who simply shoots a great deal such as practicing for a competition. None of any of these considerations will have any affect on the inherent accuracy of the weapon or the ability of the shooter.
