A thermathrockle is a fictitious device referenced by Ronald Reagan's character in the WWII action-adventure movie, "Desperate Journey" (1942). While being interrogated by a high-ranking German officer, downed Flying-Officer Johnny Hammond (Reagan) lists the device, along with several other equally-fictitious components, as part of a supercharger used on high-altitude military aircraft. The dialog starts around 29 minutes into the movie, and is some of the best double-talk ever captured on film.
