it depends on what you like. but the average and/or normal size for gauges is a 0 or 00. a 0 is about the size of the eraser on a pencil. a 00 is a bit smaller than a dime.

How long does it take to stretch your ears to 10mm?

Stretching any piercing takes time (to do it correctly). It really depends on your anatomy. I would suggest waiting at least 3 to 4 weeks between stretches or until they aren't sore from the previous stretch. I would also suggest only stretching about 1 or 2 mm each time. Stretching faster than that can result in nasty blowouts. Listen to your body. If it hurts, downsize and take care of it.

Well the piercing wont close up if you go higher than double zeros, and you can see through on almost every size that you stretch.

After days of stretching earlobe to a different size The whole earlobe is slightly purple?

Which ear do you get stretched?

Most people stretch both ears by gradually increasing the size of the earlobe piercing to accommodate larger jewelry. It is common for individuals to stretch one ear at a time, allowing the earlobe to heal properly before stretching the other ear.
