The Model 1911 wasn't a revolver. Are you sure you're not thinking of the Model 1917?
not much. the 1911 was made for the military. The 70 was a later commercial model of the 1911
1918
I am assuming that you have a 1911,not a 1911A1 an it was made for the military not a commercial model (with a C after or before the serial number). That being said I date your colt model 1911 as being produced for the military in 1919.
no big difference between 1911 and the 1927 except I believe the model 1927 was made for the Argentina military forces...................
10.924 dollars
if the military model, about 1918
about 1917
about 1918
Most commonly it is the Colt Model 1911 pistol. General issue sidearm to the United States military (all branches) from the 1st world war through the issue of the M9 Beretta pistol. It is still issued depending on the situation. The 1911 and its clones are still very much in use all over the United States, private shooters, FBI "SWAT" team, many other police and military units.
50-300 usd
If your colt is marked united states property on one side of the frame and is between 60%-90% condition it is worth between 1,500-4,000 dollars.this is due to the fact it was made for the US army in 1914,and considered a military model.if your model 1911 was parkerized then this is a arsenal rebuild, which was common in the range of years made 1911-1925.If that is the case then your colt is going for 425-650 dollar range.hope this helps.
