For what purpose, exactly?
If you're looking for something to put on a mug or picture frame or something like that, some suggestions might be Proverbs 22:6 ("Train up a child in the way he should go..."), Deuteronomy 32:2 ("Let my teaching fall like rain and my words descend like dew..."), Proverbs 3:1 ("My son, do not forget my teaching..."), Proverbs 13:14 ("The teaching of the wise is a fountain of life..."), Matthew 10:4 ("A student is not above his teacher..."). Some of those are a little out of context, so you might want to look them up and make sure they fit your purpose.

Which verse are you concerned with, particularly? There are a number of aids you could use. A concordance can give you a lot of insights. Understanding the culture of the time can also give you insight. If your issue is how can you present your understanding of a particular verse to a given audience, then my first piece of advice is to do or say something memorable in the first ten seconds - grab their attention at the start, and don't let go until you are good and ready!
Good work.
A good bible verse to use in a Christmas card is Matthew 5:5-9. Some others are Romans 15:13, Thessalonians 5:16-18, Psalm 20:4, John 14:27, and Luke 2:11.
