This guns were made between 1918 till 1960 in the city of El Goibar Basque Country , Spain. "El Faisan" was made by Pedro Arosa Aguirre. Gunsmither from Elgoibar (northern Spain). Not in the business any longer." As today this guns are very valuable and desire
The price seems to be going up on these as the price of other firearms are too. I have seen a couple go for $550 recently.
If I am right and the engraving reads el faisan, meaning the pheasant, then the gun you got is a utility grade gun made by Saraqueta. I have seen versions of it dating from 1964-1972 so the date is probably in that range. It is a good little gun, but will bring a low price at market.
I paid $450 for one at an auction today in Indiana. It is in excellent shape showing very little wear. Someone started the bidding at $200. Hope this helps.
