Buy a copy of Fjestad's Blue Book. "Field model" is a general term that is usually used to describe a basic Grade, or standard grade of Shotguns. Sometimes the manufacturer themselves will use the term, such as the Browning Citori Field Model. This would in most all cases be a Grade I Citori. There are hundreds of different Browning Models with variations that it is impossible to quote a value. Model, guage, age and condition are all factors in determining value. Try looking up more specific information in the Blue Book at the link below.
In order to answer your question I would need to know if your shotgun is a auto-5,browning pump shotgun(BPS) or a over-under(CItori or superposed)to give you a accurate answer?
Citori shotguns are very collectable when in top condition. Values have a wide range due to so many variations and grades of the Browning Over/Unders. Value is too difficult to be accurate without seeing the gun. Condition which includes the amount of original finish and original configuration will determine value. Recommend taking it to a gun shop for appraisal.
100-400 or so
The shotgun will range in price from 300-400 dollars, depending on overall condition, and a good bore. You may add 55-75 dollars for the extra barrel, and another 50-75 for a fitted browning case.
Citori shotguns are very collectable when in top condition. Values have a wide range due to so many variations and grades of the Citori and other Browning Over/Unders. Value is too difficult to be accurate without seeing the gun. Condition which includes the amount of original finish and original configuration will determine value. Fixed chokes vs Invector chokes will hurt value. Recommend taking it to a gun shop for appraisal.
Average condition models with 26" barrels can be found for 600-750, I purchased an exceptional one for 900 a few years ago. I have grown very fond of mine regardless of all the highbrow complaining of them not measuring up to other over-unders. I love it in the field and have taken 1st place in sporting clays with it. I also enjoy it for skeet and trap. While not exactly a collectors gun, one in the box in new condition should command nearing 1000 if mint. compare that to Remington 3200 or browning citori prices.
