Gamo sell a cleaning kit for airguns. DO NOT use firearm cleaning agents. They will destroy the seals in an airgun. see the link below.
If your in the United States, then I would check with "Craigslist" or "Guns America" on the web.
To get an estimate of value you will need to supply more information. Is this and El Gamo made for Daisy airgun Model 126? is this a El Gamo 126 Super Match? Or is it just one of the 30 different rifles made by Gamo? What is the condition of the rifle? Is it working? What is the model number? Giving me the serial number is no help. Re-post your question with more information and I will try to answer your question
There are 4-5 arm dealers near Crawford market. they keep imported air guns like diana, BSA, Gamo etc.
Get the Silent Stalker, it is far superior in quality. The IGT system is much better.
They are both Excellent Rifles but I personally feel the Gamo has the edge on the Crosman. Both shoot lead pellets at 1000 FPS. Both will shoot the PBA pellets at 1200 FPS. The Gamo has a 38lbs cocking effort while the Crosman has a 31.5lbs cocking effort. The Crosman with scope is a little less expensive than the Gamo with scope. So it this isn't a big deal to you then I would go with the Gamo Big cat. Take a look at: http://www.pyramydair.com/p/gamo-big-cat-1200-air-rifle.shtml http://www.pyramydair.com/p/crosman-quest-1000x-kit.shtml
This is like asking is Ford better than Chevy. It all really personal opinion. The Gamo cost a little more but both are rated at 1000 FPS. The XT has a wood stock the Gamo has a synthetic stock. So the choice is yours.
No it is an American company-------------------------------------New Answer--------------------------------------Correction. Gamo better known as El Gamo is a Spanish Company. IN SPAIN.Their address is:GAMO OUTDOOR, S.L.Crta. Santa Creu de Calafell nº4308830 Sant Boi de LlobregatBarcelona - Spain
Aurelio Gamo's birth name is Aurelio Gamo Perucha.
Unlike Crosman, Gamo doesn't offer drawings on how to take there rifles apart. It would be hard for anyone to tell you how to take your apart, because you didn't say which model you want to replace the spring in. So I suggest one of two choices. Go online and do a search for "airgun repair" and locate someone who repairs airguns near you and take it to them, or contact Gamo customer service directly and see if they will send you a parts drawing of your model. ( See the link below.)
I clean my rifles around every 500 pellets or sooner if I think they need it. I do have some suggestions for cleaning. First of all never use regular gun cleaning products. the cleaning agents will damage the seals in the airgun. Only use Crosman pellgun oil or RWS airgun oil to clean and oil the airgun. You can purchase cleaning pellets from "pyramyd air, See Link Below" to clean out the barrel or purchase a airgun cleaning kit. Add a few drops of airgun oil to the working parts of your rifle. Put a small thin sponge in the bottom of your pellet tin with a little pellgun oil to lubricate the pellets, This will coat your barrel on the inside. Don't over oil the air rifle.
I can only think of three oils to use on any airgun. Crosman pellgun oil, Gamo oil or RWS air gun oil. Never use anything else it can ruin the seals in the air gun.
