It an older model artist projector. Put a picture in, and it would shine down on your drawing table.
Now, what was nifty about it, it had one of the best lenses, so there was very little distortion.
And, it could be put up on a step ladder, to really blow up a picture, or shine it on a wall, from a distance.
Not made anymore. I own one, and it cost over $600.00, new, back in the mid 1980s.
If your an old time artist, get one, if you can.
An artograph is used to copy an image onto a vertical or horizontal image. An image can be traced onto a mural, wall, or side of a building, with great accuracy.
