depending on condition, sporterized or factory condition . on the top of the barrel where it says 44US , is it followed by a , A-B-C or D ? this is important to a buyer as these numbers state the year s of manufacture . if appearance is good or better and original condition, the 44 US can be worth upwards of 600 dollars .
The Mossberg 183D-D was produced from 1956-1960.
The '44-D half dollar is a fairly common coin. It's worth around $11 in average condition and closer to $30 if uncirculated.
While you do not state which model 44 Mossberg you have.I can say that the model 44B was made from 1938-1941.The model 44US was made from 1943-1945.The models 44US(a),44US(b),44US(c),and the model 44US(d) were made from 1944-1949.I hope this helps.
