- Your husband should see his doctor for a physical and discuss his problems with the doctor. It is more likely that your spouse cannot hold an erection because it's psychological; he feels guilty for cheating on you. Sit down with him calmly in private and let him communicate his feelings as to why he feels he is not keeping an erection and be honest about how you feel. If you love each other then both of you see a psychologist who can help in this type of situation.
