I would recommend that you get a form of Birth Control, such as mirena, that is invasively inserted by a doctor that lasts for up to five years. You may say now that you don't want children but if you change your mind you have the option of removing this form of contraception. This way, you also don't have to worry about a daily birth control pill, patch, shot, etc. It is a one time insertion and one time removal, unless you would like another one after the first five years is up. There is nothing wrong with not wanting children, and while I wouldn't say it is common, it is not something that is unheard of. You will probably deal with family/friends etc. pressuring you or trying to change your mind, but it is your choice. It is probably best to that you find a partner that is okay with not having children too. Now this is assuming that you don't want children. Your questions specifically says being pregnant. If you want children, but just don't want to be pregnant, there are options too. You could choose adoption, or even have a surrogate mother.
