Some guys are 'mean' when they're trying to flirt. I don't know how old you are and what "mean" consists of but... if he hurts your feelings, tell him, and he still continues to... tell him to leave you alone until he respects you. Otherwise, if he's being playful and no one's getting hurt, consider it his personality and part of the package ; )
