∙ 13y agoYou will burn the inside of your mouth. Involuntary jerking and choking reactions will cause you to cough a spew food around the table and over all those sharing the meal with you. This faux pas will render you a social leper, and you will live the rest of your life in relative isolation.
Seriously, eating hot food with a lip piercing will have no different effect than if your lip did not have a big, gaping hole in it that you were not born with. If it is a new piercing, you might experience a bit more discomfort. If there is salt in the food, you might feel even greater discomfort. Treat it as the piercing salon advised you and you should be fine.
