Yes. The only difference between the 80GB and 30GB is the harddrive's digital size, it's physical size is the same. This is all assuming that it is the same generation. You see, there is an iPod classic 5th generation 80GB and an iPod classic 6th generation 80GB, although both are extremely close in size and I have had a 5th gen case on a 6th gen iPod. Hope this helps. ~Griffin
About One Hundred dollars or so. It is still a very solid music holder/mp3 player capable of iPod's best functions.

The iPod 4th generation is white with a clickwheel, and has either a black & green (monochrome LCD) or color screen. The edges of the front plastic face are smooth and rounded along the sides. It was available in capacities of 20GB, 40GB, and 60GB. The iPod 5th generation was available in black or white, and had a wider screen than the 4th generation. It was color, and was also known as 'iPod video,' since it was the first video-capable iPod. The edges of the front plastic face are crisper and more squared along the sides. It was introduced in Fall 2005 in capacities of 30GB and 60GB, and was refreshed in Fall 2006 with a brighter screen, longer battery life, and capacities of 30GB and 80GB and can also come in 8GB
it depends which version of the iPod you have got.
