Buy the book "What to Expect when you are Expecting" It was recommended to me, I have given it as a babyshower gift as well.
In all I loved being pregnant, if you allow it, pregnancy can be a very magical and wonderous time for you even with all of the challenges that come with it :0)
When you are pregnant the feelings that you feel can really depend on the environment that you surround yourself in. Meaning if you have a loving family than many potential worries are alleviated.
Some of the feelings that I felt were:Fatigue, A lot of energy ( I could feel the energy in my fingertips), happiness, joyful, excited, concerned about my prenatal health care: I really spent a lot of time finding the right midwife and doctor. I actually went with a midwife who was wonderful which ended unneccesary worry.
Some other feelings I had were ugliness..my face was breaking out a lot around my 3 month... It cleared up around 6 month.
And then came the sexiness. Yes pregnancy can be sexy. I enjoyed all of my curves. One of the hardest things to deal with my strong sexual appetite that seemed to reach the highest peak ever during my pregnancy! It was difficult becasue I had a partner that did not desire me sexually at all.. I think he thought it was immoral to have sex during pregnancy. I got over it.
I also felt very special and fortunate and strong to be able to have the opportunity to conceive and carry. I felt weird when I felt the first Kick! I thought I had gas. I think I remember going through all range of emotions. But the one emotion that I made effort to keep at bay was sadness and anger. I didn't watch scary movies, I didn't listen to anything negative which included radio, gossip, and television programs and monitoring my own thoughts, words, and deeds.
Among some of the emotions that I enjoyed the most were feeling the connection between myself and my baby. I didn't really talk much to my stomach, like a lot of others say they do, but I did play Classical Music in the mornings, I did prenatal yoga, and I had a lot of fun. I went to hear classical symphony orhchestra's, the circus...any thing that would send good vibrations to my child to be.
The most important feeling that I had was that, no matter what, I had to keep my life condition high. I did this through chanting( Nam Myo Ho Renge Kyo )for hours when I was pregnant. My son is now what many SGI-USA buddhists call a fortune baby. His smile radiates the room and many people say he is the happiest baby they have ever seen. That is what I prayed for. A happy and healthy baby.
